is there any way to check the fuel gauge is reading correctly ??
after putting diesel in the needle rises all good so far , then after driving a coulpe of miles it will drop dramatically sometimes by nearly quarter of a tank , other times it hardly moves , not long since i have changed the fuel filter and cleaned sediment filter, also have had a check of the connections in the boot all look ok , the car is a 97 300tdi auto , if it is not the gauge i have a real mpg problem . any advice welcome
cheers
