Hi
could someone please tell me where the fuel filter is on my 2004 (54 plate) Freelander HSE td4 . I had the car serviced when I first bought it and the guy said he could not find it and so it has not been changed.
Many thanks

I just googled "where is the fuel filter on my freelander td4" and it came up with this...

https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/td4-fuel-filter-location.161533/

Not a very good mechanic is he!

If he can't find the fuel filter. What else wasn't changed or cleaned? The crankcase breather is a prime suspect. I bet that wasn't changed. Cleaning the inlet manifold is another job often missed.
So the service probably consisted of oil, oil filter and air filter.
No fuel filter, or crankcase breather or inlet manifold clean.
Doesn't sound very serviced to me.

Hi Peter.
As stated above I would be concerned if a garage or mechanic did not know where the fuel filter was, ask if the PCV filter was changed also if the MAP sensor was cleaned, I doubt it as the manifold would have to be removed anyways the filter will be found with the fuel pump behind the OS rear wheel arch liner.
At the same time get him or them to drain the sedimenter Arctic2
