Hi,

The fuel inlet hose came loose off on my Defender TD5 and as a result I left a Hansel and Gretel like trail of fuel behind me until I noticed it - there was just enough to keep the engine running until I got back. I pushed it back in and have secured the hose at both ends with cable ties just in case. Started up and there doesn't seem to be a leak anymore. I may have knocked it when removing the acoustic cover, can't be sure, but either way is merely refitting it sufficient I should i look at replacing something - apologies for any ambiguity!

See pic for location of hose.......

You must be a bit hamfisted if you knocked it off removing the cover.
Regardless if that they do just push on.
We leave the covers off as it's easier to spot any problems when doing weekly checks.

Thinking about it I remember having a problem with the nut spinning when I tried to unbolt mine. To be honest I can't remember what I did to get it off, cut it off I think.
