Hi! I`m new owner of freelander 2.0 td4, 2001. as well as new user of this site :) Have a problem with high fuel consumption of 11 to 14l per 100km! When this problem appired I was looking for an answer and read on a site that I can turn off the fuel flow meter, which will reduce consumption. Is it true? If anyone knows, please HELP!!! P.S. Sorry for my not so well English, but I hope we`ll understand! :)

Dobra večer boni, kako ste?

Pozdrav iz Škotske

I do not understand what you mean when you say 'fuel flow meter' I cannot think what this could be.

Have you got the words right. Technical English is perhaps confusing.

What is it called in srpski or hrvatski?

Caio, Singvogel.

Hi and welcome. Did you look in the mirror if you still have a trailer on? Sorry, but this consumption I only have when I got our caravan, more or less 1600kg, behind and go about 110km/h on the French motorway.

Also important to check you tyrepressure. I see a huge diffrence when the pressure is low.

Hope some more people can help you.

Hi Singvogel! Fuel flow meter is protokometar goriva on Serbian.. Do you speak Serbian, or Croatian?
Thanks everybody for a quick response!
