Having done all the usual checks for bearing lift and roughness when rotating (and not found anything) I hope I have determined the fact my front n/s wheel bearing is noisy. Main symptom being a 'wow wow wow' noise on right hand bends. I had it suspended on a wheel free ramp with all four wheels driving and there was a bit of a whine from that corner so as at this time the order is away to island 4x4 for a new hub unit. I have done a few searches and noticed one from a few years back which described the same symptoms so here goes.
One question though for anyone who has done a hub recently is do I have to remove the ABS sensor to pull the hub out? Having done these sensors on a Freelander a few years ago (not mine) I know they can be tricky so it could yet be a trip to ebay for a new one just in case.
Oh and in case anyone is wondering I missed the N in the title. I haven't heard of a 'frot' bearing either but if it got you reading it then I suppose every cloud etc.............
