Hopefully someone can help I have recently purchased a 2001 v8 discovery all was fine but now the front Windows won't operate just getting a clicking from behind glove box have removed passenger side door card and can power motor directlywindow operates normally, noise appears to be coming from circuit board located behind glove box any help greatly appreciated, don't know if this has any bearing on fault but suspension compressor packed up roughly the same time?

make sure you dont have water ingress there cos there is the BCU which is involved in both windows and compressor operation also it's together with the SLABS ECU which works with the compressor as well

As SF says, check for water in the BCU which is behind the passenger glove box.
Two fuses to check on the internal fuse board; that's the one beneath the steering wheel. Both fuse F29 (10 amp) and F34 (30 amp) feed the windows circuit on the BCU.

There's also a 10 amp fuse, F13 on the fuse board under the bonnet along with two 50 amp fuselinks; but they are unlikely since it's just windows and SLS compressor problems showing.

IMO any fuse connected to BCU would affect many more systems than only the windows and compressor and as long as the BCU's internal relay is clicking the problem might be rather at the fusebox cos water ingress is common there too
