i filled my frount swivel balls up the other day after i found they had NO oil in them. after about a day all the oil drained out... bad seal i think and a bit of corrosion! is there any moving parts in there that really need oil or shall i just leave it be as i am thinking of renewing them soon?

you got a drive shaft uj in there which does like a bit of lub now and then... ffs "is there any moving parts in there that need oil?"

no landrover thought it would be a good idea to put a reserve of oil in your swivels incase you need some to top up yer diffs or boxes

is it worth renewing them asap or is it alright if i just put a bit of oil in now and again?

Mine were leaking quite badly so I tried one shot grease and it has stayed in there. I know I'll have to do them sooner or later but later suits me better:)

i mix me own "one shot" 50% EP90 50% LM grease just the same as one shot but costs less, just heat container in some boling water first so that it is runny to fill up sphere.

thought you might,, is that the same as what yer get in the packs of one shot? i ask because when i asked paddocks about it they dint really know and sed i just need to put one sachet in each side, which to me doesn't look to be enough to fill the fooker.

so are YOU putting too much in or is paddock sproutin bollocks and you really need to put more than one pack in?

never used the paddocks stuff, just decided to mix me own to see if it worked, has been in me swivels for 12 months now (they where leeking like seives with ep90 in) and has not lost a drop when i checked the level afor going over to yellas on saturday

soon as trewy makes the stickers for me recycled milk cartons, only available in 4 litre containers

those bottles from paddocks look like they are about 1/2 a liter and that is the amount of oil that is needed to fill the swivel balls... i looked in the workshop manual!!
