Hey.
I had a search but cant find this problem.

I'm in the middle of changing the bushes on the front radius arms, the arm to axle bushes are not the problem. Its the rubber stepped ones on the back (arm to chassis) that are the problem.
I've got the arms into place including the bush on the axle side of the arm to chassis, and then in theory the back half of the bush should go into place followed by the washer and nut, But the radius arm angle makes it impossible to locate the bush over the thread and into the mount on the chassis.
I've tried jacking up the axle a bit, but the arm is still to angled.
The suspension has been raised by a couple of inches.

Any ideas to make the arm more horizontal would be great.
Cheers

usually best to fit to chassis before axle ,you could remove spring or ratchet strap axle to chassis

I was thought of removing the spring, but I can't get the bottom shock nut off.
I was thinking I'd have to buy some spring compressors, but I'm not 100% sure that would work.

If the vehicle's jacked up, Lower it back down onto it's wheels and as James said. use a ratchet strap to pull the axle back..

The radius arm to chassis end is in the mounting hole, its the angle of the radius arm which is stopping the bush from being located.
If its back on its wheels and the bush/washer/nut aren't on the end of the arm could the axle get out of alignment?
Also if its back on its wheels could I compress the springs still, to level the arm?
Are you meaning a ratchet strap to lift the axle up towards the chassis, are they strong enough to compress the springs?

yes ,to make angle straighter
