Hi all I´m Javier from Chile, my 2000 D2 Td5 with 385.000 kms is having some problem with the front prop shaft (funny noises), I deside rebuild the old one. There´s a rebuilt kit any expiriances?.

Hello Javier, the site that that you have there is the best single source of reference that you will find, giving step by step instructions.

I would advise that you change the 3 U/j's for ones with grease nipples) on the front prop plus the centreing bearing. DO NOT PUT ANY GREASE IN THE U/J BEFORE INSTALLING THEM; DO ALL GREASING AFTER INSTALLATION.

Also change the U/j and the 'rubber doughnut on the rear prop.

Ok, thanks. One more question. Does any front prop shaft will wit my 2000 LR D2 Td5, the question is because un USA are about USD 300 (taken fron 2002/4 LR D2 V8).

Where could I get the "centreing bearing"

1. Re the front propshaft for a TD5 - there are early and late versions, either will fit. Don't know if a V8 one will fit.
