Hi guys..Still in France and the front passenger door lock on my 2008, TDV6, Disco, HSE has started playing up over the past week by failing to unlock from the keyfob. I have been able to unlock it with the switch on the dash no problem. However, today it has become what appears to be Superlocked. Using the switch on the dash and the key in the door lock does not release it. From previous experience with a Rangie P38 (Common problem), it was possible to take drastic measures -brute force, to free the superlock mechanism on the latch, open the door in order to remove the latch unit and replace it as the problem was caused by a faulty Superlock motor.
Obviously I don’t wish to go into release details on an open forum so if anyone has any info. please PM me.
All other doors and fuel flap unlock as normal.
Cheers guys

If the motor has failed and is stuck in LOCKED-STATE, I think that's it, it disconnects the other mechanism(s), doesn't it?

Hi

The ecus that control switches within the disco have time outs, therefore they will stop working after repeated pushing

U need someone to help u with this , press the lock and unlock button on the dashboard whilst someone else pulls the door handle , trying the inside and out door handle , keep locking and unlocking with that dashboard button and it should unlock

Once unlocked if ur not going to change the lock there and then remove the door panel ,so you have at least a fighting chance of not having to destroy ur door panel

Unlock it with the key. Then at least getting to the lock is easier, once you can get the trim off.
