Bought a 52 plate freelander TD4 manual on Sarturday all good so far......
drove the car 150miles mostly motorway fast A roads all good.....
next morning got up and drove about 5 miles went a knocking started coming from the front n/s wheel.......not good
The knocking got more frequent with the road speed rather than the engine speed.
upon limping home jacked up left hand side and rotated front n/s wheel it had approx 1 - 1.5 inches of freeplay before the drive shalf and rear wheel turned. The noise seemed to come from the end of the driveshalf that goes into the gearbox .
Can anybody offer any suggestions .....
