when I turn my headlight switch on to the first position I get dim headlights, but no orange marker lights, the orange marker lights only seem to work as directionals and hazards, is that normal? When I rotate the headlight switch to the second position the headlights get a little brighter...is there a common fault that keeps the upper rear lights from working?

I'm in Tunisia, not sure what a septic is and I like to think that we have just adapted your language to fit our needs...

Some of the first 300tdi's that came out in 1994 did'nt have wiring for top lights for what ever reason, mines a 1995 U.K model and has & they do work, but you's has got wheel on wrong side so maybe it's a 1994 model that took a year to get to your neck of the woods?

good way to get help from a brit forum that is.. did they teach you that at school...do you actually have schools in the 3rd world?

A septic is an American also known as A Merkin.

The orange lights are direction indicators and hazard warning lights and aren't attached to the main lights.
 
I grew up, and went to school in the states, here I am forced to speak French which is as gawd awful an excuse for a language as I have come across, why we did not force them to give it up and learn a proper language in exchange for bailing them out in WW2 is beyond me. Thanks for the input on the lights, I will check to see if the rears were ever wired to work. How did the word septic come to mean 'merican?

it was nice of you to provide plenty of cannon fodder whilst the rest of us got on with winning the war. but if your attitude is anything to go by then I now understand why the rest of the world hates you.

Thanks for the septic origin. Like my president I try and make friends wherever I go. Sincerest apologies if my WW2 comment offended anyone, I have only read about your experiences as it was a bit before my time.

I'm surprised they taught you about the other allies. I thought you like to claim the credit for everything the only things you lot give out is blame. It's always someone elses fault where your concerned.
 
htf can any septic dare mention wars?? they invented friendly fire and wur responsible for 2/3 of brit death in the furst gulf fistie cuffs.. did yer all know that Bush's baby ' the war against terror' could be shortened to just the initials, of course it might be mistaken to be refering to Bush himself
