2nd question of the day....

P38 4.6 V8 2000

I'm planning to get the front cover cleaned up and re-fit tonight. Should I be fitting the gasket dry, or with sealant?

The workshop manual doesn't mention sealant, but I'm not sure which way to go....

i would use a sealer, but it will prob still leak!! LOL

i would only use hylomar around the water ports only

A new gasket already has a bead of sealant on it if it is a genuine one, and assuming it's the same as the 4.0 Thor front end.
