anywhone know why my sat-nav wont work in the front ciggy lighter?is it an ampage thing?? i do know that it works in the rear higher amp socket

Blown fuse or a dodgy connection between yer plug and socket?
Sometimes the plug can be too long and tilt in the socket and not give ye a good connection if it's horizontal, where as if its in the vertical, it's fine.
Just a thought

well if it were me i'd get a proper landy
my disco don't av that problem

If the lighter has been used for what it was intended for, you will find that the center connector of the sccket will have a build up of tobacco remains on it and requires cleaning, I do agree with Busterbus that the plugs are not the best and differ between one make and the other, consider fitting somthing like a mini DC plug and socket from a caravan dealer with a non reversable plug socket for more reliabilaty, even an old UK 3 pin round mini mains plug and socket would be more reliable than these items

a phono plug and socket is a good alternative as its a bit smaller than an old 3pin plug, its black and yer can fit it in where yer like
