Hi all, not sure if this is in the right section so apologies in advance..

I'm in the middleof building a mini truck trialer, landrover based, 115'' wheel base, I'll get some pics up for those who are interested. The back suspension is all sorted, fully adjustable and rose jointed.

Now, has anyone done a front 3 link conversion? I'm not talking bolt on junk etc I mean a proper conversion. I'm just in the process of starting the front and wondered who else has done this, what problems they've encountered and such forth.

Cheers,

Sam.

Depends what engine you are using as to if you can use a upper or lower third link.
Rose joints are NOT the way as they wear out quick, you need 1.250" currie or ballistic joints.
Do you know how to work out geometry? If you get your roll centres wrong it will be unstable and if your anti dive figures are out it will be dangerous going down steep slopes.
There is a 3 and 4 link calculator on pirate 4x4 they you can download into excel or whatever its called

I hate rose joints i was a passnenger in an ex nene overland vehicle motor every joint was worn out was clunky as hell on the road and all over the shop did have a nice in cab turn wheel for the inj pump wind it in and black smoke and a bit more oomph wind it

this is a modified trialer guys, not a road motor, handling, and feeling nice to ride in doesnt come into it. The engine doesnt matter either its 2 feet further back than it should be, the third link will be a single top link.
