Hi, I'm new to Landrovers, bought a 2003 Freelander yesterday and had to bring it back to the dealer today, clutch very heavy to operate and find it impossible to change gear, any suggestions very welcome.

Buy a Toyota.

Not really your problem to diagnose it, the dealer is obliged to ensure the car is fit for purpose and if you can't change gear then it isn't. It's up to him to get it fixed.
