took car for hr. drive yesterday no problems.started up today back to running like chaff cutter when pulling away from lights .the main fan does not appear to be working so have disconnected air con.and running both fans of air con switch .
if faulty thermostat will this affect fan .or is it cat converter or worse plugs clean no water leaks.or water in engine can radiator be reason?
tried disconnecting brown connector but fan did not come on.
cat still rattiling.last resort will remove it and see if that makes a diference

Did you get the reply about a deCAT pipe.
Can you get a multi-meter and back probe the temp connector? I have ref range figures. Make sure all your wiring is connected and disconnect the switch when the engine is warming up.
