ive read somewhere you can get free wheeling hubs for a disco. but dont no if it true and if its worth it. id dout it but if anyone knows about them please let me know.

better mpg lol what can i say iam a cheap scate lol. love driving my disco on or off road plus the wife has one that we use all the time. if not iam thinking of using bio fuel.

if you had free wheeling hubs you would have to drive around in diff lock, otherwise you'd be going nowhere:rolleyes:

why not just take the front prop off and still drive round in diff lock, or if your that bothered about mpg buy a fiesta or a smart car:rolleyes::frusty:

or chuck some veg oil in still only 89ppl from morrisons

iam not that bothered about mpg but id be daft not to want to save money. taking prop off is no good as it see the mud alot.

so you'd be getting out and running round the car every five minutes then! Always laugh when my mate comes out in his vitara doing that!

If you had a v8 I 'd understand, it's a diesel so run it on
1)svo
2)wvo

Freewheeling hubs on a disco! FFS. Somebody don't know what fwh are for and don't know how his disco works either it would seem.

I do know what they are and how a disco works. I read there was a kit to convert a full time transfer box to a part time. sorry should have put that at start. Iam not interest in peoples oponions on what iam doing. If you dont have any information on the kit dont post FFS. Thanks

Asking the right question might have got you a sensible answer. there is no point whatever in fitting FWH to a Disco. A part-time transfer box is a different matter. If you want your car sliding all over the road in the wet like a Series that is.
I believe Landrover once modified a Range Rover to front wheel drive only - used it to tow the Rover gas turbine LeMans competitors. Or my old memory could be playing tricksies here.

No need to thank me:D Have you ever heard the phrase "ask a silly question"?
