I am rebuilding a 2001 Freelander 1 after a bad crash. I found vin on passenger side door pillar and behind windscreen. Can any one else tell me the location in the engine well and if there are any others? Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Vin is also at the rear of the engine, behind the foam sound proofing material, at the top, just below where the windscreen wipers are.

how many numbers are VIN numbers and which ones are they? Im having immobiliser probs and think I need to have these numbers to help my situation?
Apologies if Im barking up the wrong tree here!

LR vin plates are currently 17 characters long.

Mine is: SALLNABG11Annnnnn

for example. n = number. You'll see them by looking through the windscreen in the bottom corner, on the near side (left hand side) or at the rear of the engine bay just below the bonnet behind the foam. Also open the front passenger door and it will be marked on the B post where the door catch is.
