hello ive just got a freelander 1.8 after a break of owning a landrover discovery,which i realy regret selling. but im not sure if im happy with the freelander. the engine is very lumpy on tickover and the clutch does'nt seem to be right. ive taken it to a landrover dealer who tells me that its normal for my model,has anbody else have the same or something similar.

I've no experinece of 1.8 Freelanders, but I had a K-series engine in a Rover saloon. I don't recall it being "lumpy" when idling. You could try fiddling with the engine idle speed. I guess, but don't know, that the revs should be between 850 and 1,000 on tickover?
