Hi, new to the forum, just had a good nosey!

I've had the Freelander 18 months now, its a 2000 plate (W) 1.8 petrol, with just over 100,000 miles on it (just hit the big number in the last month).

We've just got a bargain caravan from the family and can't wait to get away with it. We've been told by quite a few people we'll have no problems towing.

Just wondered if anyone in here had any experiences, or hints, tips or warnings for towing with the freelander.

Looked at weights in the handbooks and not a problem there.

Thanks in advance!

A few ideas before getting out on the road. Take out the whole of your airbox and replace with a conical mesh filter right on the throttle body. They do this in the Caterhams for more torque and bhp. If you want a bit more power you can even swap the standard 48mm throttle body with a 52mm one, and it's dead simple to do as well.

These two should give your 1.8 just enough extra power to get towing.
