Hi all thanks for taking the time to read my post I am new to this page.
I have just bought another Freelander td4 for my partner knowing it has some issues. I have one myself that runs perfect so to try and diagnose the problem I have been swapping parts.

When I got the car it had hardly any boost at all and was very sluggish and when I get to just below 70mph the management light comes on.

I have changed all the vacuum hoses as most of them had gone soft and split and I seem to have got much more power now, after that I changed the fuel pump under the arch (I think it gave me a little more power again but can't be 100% sure) before I changed these parts I had changed mass afm, egr solonoid, boost solonoid, fuel pressure switch, i thoroughly cleaned the egr valve out too, none of these made a difference.
When I start it up from cold it seems to hunt and like miss a bit and is sluggish soon as it's been driving 5 min and warm the power really does pick up and seems normal and stops hunting/ missing. Iv tried unplugging each injector in turn while its hunting and each one make it run worse I was just assuming it may be an injector down.

Running out of ideas now really it doesn't smoke at all when driving I'm maybe thinking high pressure fuel pump but not really sure how easy this will be to do as iv not looked into its location yet. Any help would be much appreciated
I have also just changed the crank case breather as I had oil leaking out of the dipstick which is sorted now.

Many thanks tony :)
