Hi guys, if got a old 2004 freelander TD4 that I want to sell. However it has a few issues that need fixing that’s could be one easy fix or multiple issues.

Its occasionally rough when idle, it can rev high but not accelerate & takes 2-3 turns to start then kicks out white smoke.

Question is should I fix the issues and sell as a fully working car with Mot till Oct or sell as spares or repair?

Any advice kindly received!!

You say it can rev high but not accelerate, does it rev on it's own? Is it constantly like that?
Poor starting and white smoke in start up can be down to glow plugs, assuming it's diesel.
Would you do the work yourself. Do you have a meter?

As the price of the early Freelander is going up in value, selling as spares or repairs will give someone else a decent profit.
