I have read the Haynes manual for the replacement of the clutch master cylinder which is telling me to remove the air cleaner assembly, camshaft cover intake manifold and the fuel injectors just to do the cylinder
this seems really strange to me, can anyone tell me if this is the case or if it is an easier job than what Haynes is telling me?
I have done plenty of work on rovers- 200 and 400 series and learnt the haynes sometimes tells you unnessesary actions but this just seems like an awful lot of work for a clutch master cylinder and cant understand why all the steps outlined would be nessesary.
The freelander I will be working on is a TD4 2004 plate. Its my mates and i am repaying a favour.
Thank you for any support you can provide.
