Hi

I have a 2004 Freelander TD4 it's done 80,000 miles. Generally it has been great but recently I have jad a problem with getting it into gear 1st has possibly been the worsdt although difficulties with all gears. The clutch also appeared to be low. I had a mechanic look at it who topped up the hydraulic fluid. This helped a little but did not solve the issue so I took it to another mechanic he said that I needed to change the slave cylinder and clutch which I did at a huge cost. However the issue has not gone away. The master cylinder is not leaking and seems ok. Any idea of what it could be?

Whilst this is minor to the above problem another issue I am having is the back door sometimes does not lock on the first time it is closed. After playing with the handle and repeatingly shutting it the door eventually closes.

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I think ,from what I have read on here ,that it takes some time for the clutch to bed in to the flywheel .

My tailgate does the same ,I always have to give the bottom left of the number plate a good whack of my knee . It always seems to close ok with the glass down :scratching_chin: could be the regulator guides need adjusting :scratching_chin:.
