Our TD4 has developed the problem of intermittant failing to start. After resing for periods ranging from 1 hour to 24 hours it starts without a problem.
Have considered changing fuel supplier, but admit have run with fuel indicator light on recently.
answers needed please

Fuel pumps are a favourate to fail on this lump, low and high pressure units. Do a search on here, theres plenty of experience with this.

HI,
I had same prolem with my hippo
would start fine from cold but if you tried to start it after you had been out for a run in it all it would do is turn over and not start.
would start ok when you left it for maybe an hour or so.
I tried the camshaft sensor but wasnt that so got a land rover technician with his box of tricks to plug into it .,
result was low pressure fuel pump was on its way out changed it and no further problems.
hope this helps.
