Not sure exactly when it starts, but yeah when shift from neutral to reverse and back to neutral it startsDo you mean it starts in the reverse position?
Thanks, did describe fault slightly wrong, it's when I go from park to reverse and back to park it starts! but I'll go to garage for a diagnostic check, cheersIt's possible there's a faulty sensor in the selector assembly. It's best to get a full systems diagnostic on the vehicle.
Unfortunately there's nothing to adjust, but a basic cable position check can be done.Probably the microswitch in the selector needs adjusting.
Cheers, booked for diagnostic checkWorth popping off the selector surround and checking connections are clean and secure.
And same at gearbox under air box.
But as Nodge says, diagnostic before you get to deep.
No. Probs won't be for a few daysdo let us know the outcome of the diagnostic test please
No, sorry slow reply, away for a few daysWill it come out of park without the engine running or foot on the brake?
