Also are the five door version any different from the three door version thank you.

3 Dr and 5 dr are the same.

I don't know how the fl1 and fl2 wheelbases compare but i do know that the fl2 side steps would only fit witha lot of fiddling!

Personally I think that the teardrop shape steps look nicer than the shelves!

Hi Thanks for the reply I too like the teardrop shape so those will be the ones I will go for cheers Arctic2 ;)

Not a chance of fl2 steps fitting

Thank you for the precise answer to my question FL 1 steps it is then, once I have picked up the FL later this week, as the one I was supposed to have collected last week fell though  that one already had the steps. Arctic2

Hi members.
As anyone fitted these side steps to their FL 1 and if so how do you find them please, also all opinions welcomed on as to which would be best to fit cheers Arctic2

I have the black versions of the bottom ones. You just get in and out without stepping on them. Handy for the kids though.

The wedge shaped ones are similar in tha you step over without stepping on. Easier than the tubes because of the shape.

I don't like the shelf sort personally. And the first ones I guess you would step over most of the time any way!

Generally speaking they are not much real use in my experience. But do make the vehicle look ten times better.

Even my missus who is 5'3 can step over the tube type!

I'm in the same boat as you pal, bought one in July. Just had the VCU and some work done underneath from Bell engineering and I'm thinking now it needs mapping and some side steps and the roof bars. Mine is a 3 door 05 td4. I'd love a set of front light guards but it seems they don't exist other than on the ones that drive by me teasing me with a "look what you could have won" type basis. The top ones look good, not sure it would look good on a 3 door though having 2 sets of indents for front and back doors. The last black teardrop shaped ones are my pic. Quite cheap too. Can you let me know how you get on with whichever ones you go for as I'll be getting some soon.

I bought Bearmach Rock sliders from Island 4x4.

I don't like side steps, but these protect the sills and the side of the car from car park dings.

10 mm spanner is all that's need to remove if the rivnuts don't turn...... Angle grinder if they do........

cant find the reply button on my PM page!!

short answer is cost, say £10.00 for a couple beers and i will email my address
