Hi all.

I'm really hoping that some of you out there will be able to help.
1999 1.8 Freelander
I'll start by saying it has good cylinder compression and timing is bang on.
The engine runs very rough upto about 2500rpm it seems to be misfiring at idle.
it also sesm to be over fuelling as the plugs are new and are already covered in black s%~t. you can also smell it out of the exhaust.
the engine idles lumpy when cold and wont idle at all when hot.
What Ive done so far is usual new plugs leads dizzy and arm, cleaned the crank position sensor.
Any ideas greatly recieved.
