My friend gave me a 2003 V6 Freelander with LPG conversion. It sat outside my house for a few months. I decided to fix it up. I changed plugs, battery etc. Engine is running well now.
But, After i drive for a few miles there is an intermittent noise when pulling away. I thought it was the VCU and after some advice removed the propshaft. To my dismay the noise has returned.
Strangely, when all the engine warning lights are on amber TC ABS etc it runs fine, then after a few miles and after a stop the warning lights go out and a grinding noise kicks in with a judder when braking, it is weird it feels very unsafe like a pulling feeling, it can be quite mild and can feel very aggressive.
I am at a loss and don't want to spend too much money on a run around!
Any advice would be really welcome!
