Hi all
I am buying the wife an 06 Freestyle auto with 16500 miles on the clock. 1 owner, (company car) and serviced 2500 miles ago, although having stood
( garaged ) for a while, hence low miles. I am not sure when the service was carried out, as the service log book has disappeared and a new one is being aquired from Guy Salmon Landrover, from where the car was bought and has been serviced. My reason for this thread is asking you all for advice on what to do driving and service wise when we pick the car up on Tuesday. I am not sure how long the car has been stood, so should I give the car a fresh service, and drive it gently for the first couple of thousand or so miles, or just get on with it and drive it as I would any other car. Might seem a daft question, but first time we have bought a car with this low miles and an auto, and being the owner has not driven the car for some time( he is now in a home after having been in hospital for some time) I am a tad unsure how to best proceed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated ( apart from "buy something else" as the wife loves her Freelanders, we are selling a `52 3 door td4 to get this one)
Many thanks in advance
