I purchased my w reg freelander in feb 05. I love it has room for my work and for the new arrival. My astra van would not do. I have taken back in the first week, exhaust snapped in half. Very rusty. It wouldnt start a month later stuck in busy car park dealer said ring the AA after I got the AA to start it for me DEALER HAD A LOOK AT IT told me nothing wrong with it. I have a knocking noise from rear, a rattle from engine, a leak from underneath, gears are a nightmare sometimes struggle to engage every gear, TOOK IT BACK TO BE TOLD THAT A BUSH IS EXTREMLEY WORN ( only done 2000 miles ) and it will cost me £190 for labour and £12 for part oh and nothing mentioned about the other faults, as I told 2 members of staff and wrote a detailed letter left on dashboard. Dealer had freelander for 2 days to tell me worn bush. warranty will not cover this, dealer unhelpful and I will be speaking to manager in morning. can i do an exchange ? Any tips or sound advice to handle a unhelpful dealer
