Hi To all,

This is my first post so put it here as was unsure. have enjoyed reading posts and has helped me to repair/understand a lot more about Freelander's. I now however have a question regarding the seatbelt light on dash. I have looked at all of the relevant posts on this topic but cannot find an answer, so here go's

The dash seatbelt warning light does not come on. I have checked under seats and have yellow connectors so pre tensioners on seatbelts. SRS light functions as it should so no problem there. If however I do a self diagnostics test the seatbelt light illuminates, which seems to me that it is connected and should therefore be working all of the time? Any advice on this would be appreciated or just a slagging for having a Freelander !!:pound:

Not sure about freelanders, but my 95 discovery (and others of a similar vintage) has a partial loom for that warning light, but not the switch in the seatbelt receiver. Its a compulsory warning light in a few countries, but not here in the UK, so its quite possible you just don't have the complete circuit.
