hey. this is my first post.

Having bought my freelander last year I have been trying to modify it over a weekends. I have just fitted a light bar to my 3 door after trawling for ideas on internet there wasnt all that money much so manufactured my own clamping system. and would like to know your views. thinking later on lifting it and maybe fabricating a roof top tent and underside protection. hope your all well. let us know whatcha think please . peace.

Bear in mind the capacity of the roof rails on a 3dr won't hold a person by themselves!

Looking forward to pics of your clamping system, be interesting to see how it compares to the one i'm busy developing to go alongside my other products.

really interested since I need some ideas on the front mounting points

owning the 3 door too, and wanting some extra lights, got me thinking, I have a couple of sets of the twin sunroof blanking plates, I could simple drill and fix two lights to each blank, would have to figure out how/where to route the wires though

Not strong enough with the drag the lights will create, really needs to mount into the channels above windscreen, the roof bars are too far back imo.

the blanking plates are quite thick fibreglass type stuff, feels stronger than ya normal sunroof plates
