Hello everyone,
I really need your for my Freelander 2 TD4 2009 automatic transmission. The problem is, the oil filter keep on bursting. Can anyone help me identify the cause? Thank you.

The oil filter is a replaceable filter element in an aluminium housing, so I don't see how a heavy casing can burst.
Got any pictures?

I wonder if the OP is putting the oil seal on the filter housing in the wrong place, therefore it not sealing properly, seen it before on both the FL1 and FL2

Possibly, although I'd have thought that would be described as leaking, not exploding.
More information is needed really. I have come across an issue where the lower seal isn't installed correctly, which can block the oil outlet from the filter to the engine. I'm wondering if it's something like that causing the problem.
