Hello mate.
You need to give more information. Engine type, mileage.
Was your clutch on its way out, what brand slave cylinder did you put in.
Have you checked fluid levels, what fluid did you use.
The more info you give, the more info the guys and girls can give you.
I can't help, I drive an auto ;)

It's in the title 2.0 di. L series

I was always under the impression master and slave was complete system on there as it's a sealed system, I could be wrong I haven't done one.

How did you know your old slave was faulty? Similar symptoms can be found with a cracked slave cylinder bracket. This flexes when you use clutch and then makes the clutch less effective. This is often caused by the rod that goes through the front of the gearbox getting siezed and causing excess strain on the bracket

I only live an hour or so away from him but totally different weather ;)
Go have a beer I think you need one!
