Hi All,
We have just bought a 2008 TD4 top spec with leather seats etc.
It is to replace our current 2010 Renault Grand Scenic which is currently in the garage having had its ABS pump and controller replaced and still there are problems with the electronic handbrake (nasty thing!).
Anyway the Freelander is in really good condition - it seems to have been regularly serviced with yearly filters and oil replacement.
The current issues are - rusty rear discs and a noisy rear diff. The back tyres are good but of different makes (so a definite fail in a Controle Technique french equivalent of MOT)/
We have a very friendly local garage and will be getting the Landy up onthe lift for a full under body inspection tomorrow. Hopefully more luck with this one than the Series 3 Landrover I had years back where the drive went soon after purchase with a sheared main drive shaft!
This looks to be a great forum with masses of information.
It is good to finally have a vehicle that I like rather than the Renault which is just a means of transport.
See you soon.
