Hi,

2010 FL2 2.2 Auto.

I need to changee the starter - does anyone have a walkthrough for this please?

The starter is half way down engine on front of block and seems a bit awkward to get at from either the top or bottom!

Sorted - I just persevered..

Quite easy in the end - apart from me having massive hands like Frank Bruno (good job I'm not a gyneacologist!)

The starter isn't that difficult to remove or repair. The only thing that goes wrong with them is the contactors burn out, so it clicks and nothing else. Luckily contactors are available as a kit for about £25 delivered, and take 20 minutes or so to install in the starter, although the starter does need to be removed before the contactor swap is carried out.

Yeah..I was just struggling with access.
Contacts on order.

Much cheaper than the £958.26 quoted by an independent LR "specialist".....

Anyone quoting £958.26 for a starter deserves to go out of business. Its a 1hr job to replace a starter, and they cost under £200 to the trade, so charging £700+ for an hours labour is absolute robbery. Maybe Dick Turpin was an ancestor?
