Hi Guys,
I have a 2.2l diesel FL2, (07) that has recently taken to running in a decidedly lumpy fashion around 2,000 RPM. Not all the time, sometimes it does but mostly not, (at the moment). I can accelerate through it or back off and it goes away and I think it only occurs when the engine is lightly loaded. Other than that it's great, no smoke, no oil use, no coolant use, starts perfectly.
Any ideas where I could look or should I book it in for an expensive diagnostic? I appreciate it could be many things but there may be a common fault, he says optimistically. :)

This issue has affected some FL2 engines since new. There was supposed to be an LR software update to cure it, but I don't believe it was ever fully rectified.

Some owners say an injector change cured it, some say the crank sensor fixed it, other's say it was the accelerator pedal sensor that solved it.

It's best to check everything, especially the boost air path for splits in hoses.

Mine also does it, right on 2000 RPM, which just happens to be 70 MPH, so it's rather annoying.
However I can't say for definite what my own issue is, as my cylinder head is damaged, and needing replacement.

If that doesn't cure it, I'll start to investigate the issue in more depth.

Thanks guys, sorry I was so long getting back but I had to fix and test it first. It was a simple split in the short hose going to the intercooler. A bit of a pig to fit the cheap replacement but a straightforward job. Total fix. Thanks.
