Well I learned something - I didn't know I could lift the rear seats up when I tilt them forward, i really hated that feature so I'm glad it was just me being dense.

Lol at all the praise of robustness and reliability. Deary me.

I know - was being sarcastic

they sell this thing as though it was full of electronics and advanced technology - there again maybe it was when it came out ???

things have certainly changed since then though ......!

Ah :D, sarcasm is lost on me without the "" smiley hehe. Well TC was not old hat back in '97, and HDC was very clever, maybe not a huge leap foreard but very clever :).

interesting how the mentioned that the front wheel drive feeling would be something customers would be usd to as a selling point  funny how things date so quick ,love them or hate them it was certainly a successful concept

Still works best as a front wheel drive in my opinion.

That's was an interesting watch :D

Love the old style long hair permed look lol, and how they went on about the interior styling with colours PMSL. I wonder if the female presenter had a swimming pool in the boot after her trip through the river?

Still I do love my freelander, I can sit in the back and have a foot spar whenever I've driven through a few puddles, well until the mastic comes out :pound:

Got my new treads on today, so watch out on those muddy slops

I did not realise the freelander got WHAT CAR , car of the year 1998 award :) and you could have the optional HDC for a grand extra

freelander 1 is the best allround car ever made. shame about the k-series engine, drivetrain and landrover reliability.
