In the process of servicing my 05 TD4, fit and forget crankcase breather and turbo filter arrived today. I thought that the turbo filter, unlike a standard in-line fuel filter, only flows in one direction? Is this correct?

It is a fuel filter. Usually fitted with wide end to pipe. Not sure it matters though as filter is in the device and feed from either end goes through it to get to the other.
