Hi there,
I not been on the forum for a while as my 53 plate TD4 freelander has been running and doing fine. (Sorry)
But In the last few weeks ive had a few problems crop up and i could do with some help and advice. firstly im not to greesy fingered so might need to take to a garage/member to help out. Problems to list:
drivers side electric window sounds like its working but isnt, ive took the panel off and it looks like the cable has broke.
Electric windows at the rear only operate from front controls, not rear buttons, the control button on the front can be pressed or depressed to no effect.
Drivers heated heat crackels and do not heat up.
The sunroof does not fully shut unless you physically manupulate.
The questions are is there garage or members who you could recomend in Notts or nearby who could help out? Is there a scrap dealer local for parts in the same areas. If a local member was to help out obviously i am happy to pay for there time and take truck to them.
I know its a long shot but in general Lucy (wife pet name for the 4x4) has been a dam good work horse and dont fancy getting rid.

The front window regulators are a common failure and easy enough to replace. Buy a new one off ebay for about £50 from memory. I wouldn't bother trying to fix your existing one.
The rear windows sounds like a button issue. Get a multimeter and check if the rear switch is receiving power and sending power when pressed.
The seat sounds like the element has failed. Would suggest using the power of Google to see if it's an easy fix.
The sunroof may benefit from a good clean of the mechanism followed by lubrication.
