Hi there, I'm after a little advice if anyone could help? I'm planning on fitting an LED light bar to my facelift 53 SE Freelander. I've bought an original front fog light switch to replace the blank panel on the dash but on popping out the black panel is see there is a socket already fitted? Does anyone know if this socket is wired and can be used somehow or do I need to remove it and replace it with the switch that I've bought? Many thanks in advance?

Best put a multimeter in the connector to find out, probably find no live as fuse will be missing in fuse box

Thanks for your reply. I've managed to fit the fog light switch to the connector that's behind the blanking plate but nothing lights up on the switch when I put the lights on or when press the fog light button. There is a fuse in the fuse box but still nothing? I'm thinking it's going to be a bit tricky to find where the wires go from the back of the switch? I might just have to buy a new wiring harnes for the light bar rather than using the existing switch. Any other thoughts would be much appeciated.
