Hi there
I have owned my freelander for a year but it has just developed two faults
1- the engine looses power at 70mph and sometimes the warning light comes on other than that its fine

2- most annoying the cd is stuck in the cd player its a 6 cd/radio unit and its a facelift model freelander

hope someone can help

sean:(

:welcome2: Sorry can't help on that
had problems with cd in my freelander but that was just a single cd, that turned out to be the cd that a mate had done and he had put a lable on it and the mecanisum inside didn't have the power to push disc back out, got it out by pressing release button while trying to grab disc with a flexible blade try and get above disc to guide it through the hole buggers the cd up though, so when he does any discs now he leaves the lable off

Sorry I was on the phone when i typed that ment cd eject

The head unit wasn't the stantard freelander one it was one I had got and put it in,

just a thought, these lables he had used just added a little thickness to the disc enough to block the slot it goes through, Had one cd player would not play the disk if it had one of those homemade lables on it, laser couldn't read the disc as the light couldn't get through.

As far as the engine light is concerned, you may need the ECU reading to see if any codes have been logged

Thanks dave
I had the car tested and had conflicting views, one guy said it needed a new turbo, another tested the turbo and said it was the turbo boost control but i could not source one from auto factors and they said it did not exist.
now very confused!

take a look in the freelander section, theres a sticky thread called '70mph fix' grab a a coffee and have a good read....

as for the stuck cd, have you tried holding the eject button til the unit says 'eject all'? worth a try...
