Hi. Our Freelander 2 has an erratic heater. It pumps warm air shortly after cold start but packs up and pumps cold air shortly after. I have seen comments about bleeding air from the system and flushing the heater system. Can anybody advise where the bleed point (s) are located and a procedure to flush the system . Would be obliged, thanks.

You don't say what HVAC system is fitted, which makes diagnosis harder.
I'll assume you have climate control, with the PTC booster.

The heater matrix is self bleeding, so doesn't have bleed points. Providing the thermal control module (thermostat) is functioning, the heater matrix should get hot water. As long as the system is filled with the correct coolant, the matrix won't need flushing.

It's possible that the blender motors aren't functioning correctly, which will need a diagnostic on the HVAC system to prove.
