My Series 3 has some play in the front hub, too much end float. I have tried to remove the free wheeling hub to get to the adjusting nut on the drive flange but it wont come off! All 6 bolts have been removed and it comes back about 20mm but wont fully come off. I have tried with it set to 'fixed' and 'free' but no difference. The hub make appears to be made by MAP. Any help really appreciated, particulalry if you know how to do this job or can advise if a manual is avialble for MAP hub units.

Cant remember what mine are but i have to undo the flat head screws around the top.
You need to post a pic

If its an auto freewheel hub, then remove split pin and large castelated nut, washer and felt seal, hub will then slide off...

Thanks for the responses, having had a further go at the thing it does come off!! What appeared to be a machining grove round the unit 1/4 inch from the outer end is where it splits to reveal castelated nut, once split pin is out and nut removed the unit comes away from the hub flange.
God knows why this refused to come off when I first tried, it seemed rock solid but eventualy came away as a machined plate which has the 'fixed' 'free' adjustment nut in the center. Replacement was easy.
Hopefully this may help some other Landy fan with the same issue!!:)
