...as the last thread got hijacked by towing legislation.

I've reconsidered, and a hard top 109 might do me. If I obtain and post some pictures of stuff, can people tell me roughly how much it would be worth...?

Any hints of what to take photos of would be useful. (obv ext. front, rear, sides and underneath and interor through window(s) but specific things would be helpful...)

Chassis,
Front dumb irons (wot the bumper bolts to),
Any point on the chassis where the spring shackles bolt to front and back,
All outriggers,
Rear Crossmember,

Body,
Bulkhead-
Top corners,
Sides what the door hinges bolt to,
Foot well (floor behind the pedals) and passenger side footwell,

109 without an mot or without tax I personally wouldn't pay more than £250 depending on just how rusty it was and where if it was bad £50 if it could be patched reasonably well and quickly and looks tidy mabe £300. Absolutly mint no mot or tax no chassis work or bulkhead work mabe £600, Jai

chassis outriggers, spring hangers, rear crossmember ,door tops, bulkhead, footwells, there the main bits that go o and check 4 leafs spreading apart from rust inbetween front swivels if you can then its best to hear the engine running and do the usual checks o and see if you can gt a test drive so you no what the gearbox is like if its running check for it jumping out of reverse first and second mainly o and the handreak has been left on its likly to have seized so you could try pulling behind sumthing else as it works on the transmission o and brakes if there working at all just press the pedal a few times and see if you get any resistance does that help

I don't think it's the sort of vehicle that reasonably moves. Nor the sort that's moved for maybe a decade. (Greenery growing on bodywork, I imagine the chassis is more solidly attached to the grass than the rest of the Landy...)

So I'll be looking at 50-100 quid...

Suits me, that's practically back-pocket money.

does it come with any sort of logbook or id check the vin plate on the chassis if you havnt got a logbook you will be looking at probly a q plate unless you can find the vehicle history

I picked up an unfinished project tax exempt SIII 109 with a new chassis (well in 1998, but it has sat in a garage since then), 110 bulkhead for £550 in eBay (it drove). 2 1/4 diesel engine worked O.K. after a bit of messing too.
