Hi all
I’ve got a “Forward alert not available” warning on my 2011 RR Vogue SE. Any ideas on how to fix this? I have searched on here for past threads but found nothing.

Sounds like a Rolls Royce...
"it hasn't broken down Sir, it has merely failed to proceed".
Many years ago my mate broke down in his Roller they came from Crewe in a furniture lorry, drove a loan car out and winched his in. He go a phone call telling him the half shaft had broken and they arranged a time to exchange cars.he waited three weeks for the bill before phoning and explaining the situation, the reply he got was "You must be mistaken sir,RR halfshafts do not break.;):D

Have you checked your battery, including battery connections. Also you could just switch it off and use Mark1 eyes to stay back from traffic in front ;)

BTW every time I read the 'forward alert' I get flashbacks to forward assist. Bloody SA80

Yeah cured it with Mk2 BUT for years continued to teach it. So we had youngsters coming through still bloody doing it.
When I left 3 years ago we had the L85A3 coming through and you still have to do it

They still teach the forward assist on the Mk3 because "this is how we've always done it", even though if you have a jam that stops the bolt going forwards, forward assist is just going to make your life a lot worse.

That'll be because it's just an updated SA80 and the instructors will have been taught by instructors who were first dealing with the Mk1. It's typical Forces , once a habit starts it's hard to get rid of it.
I can't remember how many times the discussion was had with 'older' instructors that it wasn't required, and how many times they continued to teach it.

I was there before the forward assist was a drill, got my hands on an early batch for training and evaluation when we discovered the erm problems.........

Oh the joy !
