Not having issues with that but, on a similar bent: Any chance we can get a fully working site? No search function, no full functions when trying to see old posts, Member's profiles not fully active, and whatever else isn't working.
I know I've only been a member 10 years but I think it's long enough enough to say ' looks like those who keep this site viable for advertisers , the members, are being expected to put up with a poorer and poorer site.
The only thing that keeps me , and I am sure most of the others,here is the wealth of knowledge from other members. That is the same thing that brings new members and advertisers. So how about the owners spend a little time and a little money on the site.
Although once again , I realise this post is a waste of time , as nothing ever gets fixed.

Admin have already said on another fred that the forum needs an upgrade to be fixed propper. What we have now is the best they can do at the moment. The upgrade is currently being looked into.

Yea. I’m sick of paying all this money for a poor customer experience.
I would be happy to pay. If it meant a better site. Just because the site is free , and only the members themselves keep it going , doesn't mean the owners have no responsibility.
I don't charge the members of my website. Nor do I use adverts as a source of revenue.Yet I manage to get glitches fixed, usually within 2 days , a functioning search option, decent icons/emojis. Most importantly of all, I listen to and respond to members. It is not a lot to ask.

The old system, where people donated if they wanted to, was good, and must have provided a useful boost to revenue.
There were no adverts, and no swear filter, as far as I can remember.
And the tech forum was open to anyone that wanted to look at it.

There were ads (though not so many) and swearing had to be restricted to AG by constant warnings/whinging/pleading by mods and Google still restricted us in search lists.
Accy and Roy are aware many would like to have the donate option back and no doubt it would help finances but the choice and legal implications are theirs.
It might help if people stopped trying to sue us anorl but there ya go.

I had forgotten that there were ads. I don't think they used to appear right in between the lines of people's posts. That is a bit irritating.
Just out of interest, what are people trying to sue the forum for? I don't see much that I would consider out of order, but maybe I am thick skinned, or just don't look at the right areas.

We get a variety, companies, people objecting to posts, people objecting to people objecting to posts, people objecting to their own posts and want them removed, unfair warnings you name it we've been threatened with legal action for it
