Nope never get back what you spend, if you are insane enough to spend that amount then then it is should only be on a car that you plan to keep for a very long time.

I wish you luck with the sale, I'm not doubting the time money and effort that has been expended but I wouldn't be holding my breath if I were you.

Only an enthusiast is going to be interested in a 1991 Defender 90 at anything beyond 'book' price. Incidentally even with a rebuild advertising it as 1221 miles could technically get you into hot water since it isn't a true statement - 1221 miles since total rebuild OK but not simply 1221 miles.

A 1991 Defender, which (judging by it's additions), has been used for off roading, for 12 grand!!?

A 21 year old car, admittadley with a galvanized chassis, for a third of a price of a brand new one.

12 GRAND!??!! That's more than alot of brand new cars. I know Land Rovers are special, and the landy looks great, but jesus christ, that's a defender almost a quarter of a century old, selling for 4 grand more than a brand new Ford Fiesta, or Toyota Aygo.
Infact, it's about the same money as a brand new Audi A1.

Got to be a mistake.
